Not sure about the touch screen, but the rest does save resources and allow a AV to run faster.

I think changing the control panel "power plan" to high performance can also make virus scan faster.

That would be fine on PCs, but could cause bad stress on laptops, chromebooks and Surfaces.

A laptop cooling pad fan may help with overheating problems by changing the power plan to high performance.

That only does so much, the extreme heat still stuck inside can wear down parts faster.

There are third-party laptop cooler blower fans which suck hot air out of the laptop side air hole which may help with cooling. But, it would make the laptop more loud and bulky.

I could have used that, I remember my SSD on my old laptop getting extremely hot.
