I notice more apps are asking for age verification which can be annoying.

Hopefully, most of these companies which ask for our IDs can keep our IDs safe from scammers.

Far as I know, only top companies really use anything like that, most my uses is just key fobs.

They are pretty sturdy, but do wear out after a few years.
