The extra stuff on a Gaming PC may come in handy if you ever find a good PC game to play which requires a faster video card.

usually you have to upgrade a video card to ever get the best experience.

I agree you usually have to upgrade the video card to get the best performance. But, some expensive older video cards can still be good for playing most games at medium and high video settings.

This is why I just game on consoles, no hardware upgrade worries.

The Nintendo 64 had a RAM upgrade block in the past.

they included that free though with select games, which was rather nice at the time.

I think hard drive upgrades on game consoles can make game consoles annoying for gamers who bought the version of the Xbox 360 Arcade with no hard drive, and the Xbox 360 20GB version. The PS3 also has a version of the fat PS3 with 20GB which can make gamers need to upgrade their hard drive after buying a few games.

At least, with PC Gaming, you can install a large hard drive, and not have to deal with running out of space as often, or pay a lot of money for a console with more storage space. A lot of PC games are also still playable on low to medium quality settings if you have a slightly older gaming video card.
