It might eventually, but I know an anime DVD that took half a year for a dub, two months more for a Region 1 DVD release, at least 5 years more for a Region 2 DVD and still no HD coming up, I'm not getting my hopes up for this one.

blu ray needs to be cheaper before it becomes an option for anime releases,

Yeah Blu-Ray disks and players are still kind of expensive for the average person. Plus, a Good HDTV and the cables for connecting it to the player can cost a lot.
Maybe an Upconverting DVD with HDMI will be a good alternative for anime lovers who do not have a lot of cash.

I love it! It's so weird and different. I'd say I'd watch it again, but I'd never get around to it anyway. Huge "to see" list for animes. D:
