I think fast reply does not save a lot of time while posting vs. standard reply unless you are on dialup.

i don't see the point in those "fast reply" things it just slows down the page loading i notice on many forums

On other PHP BB forums some members claim fast reply turns the forum into a chat room where people post a lot of replys like lol, omfg, and other web acronyms or post for the sake of posting without really thinking.

I think because fast reply make the forum look like a chat room and regular reply looks more like e-mail.

People put more thought into e-mails then chats or IMs.

I don't know if what some members say are true. But, I notice when I use regular reply I tend to post longer and more well thought out posts since the text box is bigger, and It reminds me of e-mail instead of a chat room.

I really think quick reply would be useful and it makes posting much easier.
