I think background checks and Mental health evaluations by multiple doctors, and detectives will be more effective then just the standard background check for guns. But, it just make the price for buying stolen guns more expensive since it is harder for criminals to get guns legally by pretending to be good, so they pay more for stolen guns which makes illegal gun dealers more rich which cant be good for the neighborhood.

Yes I agree with you two, blaming objects and non-living things for causing crime is dumb since guns do not have a mind of its own to shoot people. Some people just choose to use guns to commit crimes while other people choose to use guns to protect themselves from their attackers.

I believe that people with gun licience or those who know how to use a gun should be able to have access to them. So like, people who are going to be police or those who are in the criminology field. Hunters, require a permit to hunt, but i think they should at least tighten that up a bit more.

Any ways this might not make snese now, but i might come back in the morning and edit this.

I agree.. where I live, if you want a permit you get it; unless you are super nuts, and that's totally visible.
That's probably because we have an over population of deer.. but still.

I don't see any need for a gun. They should be banned in my opinion no matter what.
