PS3 has been compared to a super computer, the Wii barely went beyond what the Gamecube was. I don't see Nintendo steroiding their next console.
I can see it being as strong as the Xbox 360 though.

Re: Nintendo VS Sony VS Microsoft
I can see the Wii U being more powerful since Nintendo can afford to invent and make a faster console from all the money they made from the Wii, DS, 3DS, and Gameboy series which sold very well world wide.
The Wii U uses the same type of CPU found in the Watson Supercomputer (the super computer which was featured in Jeopardy who defeated a human contestant), and the Graphics Processor can display video in HD quality.
I bet the Wii U probably have more then 256MB of system RAM which is the amount of RAM which the PS3 has. I think the Wii U probably atleast have 1GB of System RAM, or 2-16 GB of RAM since RAM is cheaper these days. You can buy 8GB of DDR3 RAM for only 35 dollars or less on eBay, Amazon, or Newegg.

Re: Nintendo VS Sony VS Microsoft
I've herd rumors of the console only being priced at 250 USD. So I'm wondering if it will be cheaply made or if nintendo is willing not to fill their pockets on this one.

I think Nintendo will continue to use super cheap labor from China's Foxconn factory where workers are paid dollars a day to build consoles and the parts to make console for long hours...

doesn't change the fact that a next gen console could be at 250 USD where as the next Xbox and PS4 will be priced at 600+

Re: Nintendo VS Sony VS Microsoft
I think Microsoft will come out with a cheaper version of the next Xbox as well like how they now have the Xbox 360 Arcade which you can get for 199.99 for a 4GB version.
Wow, 600 hundred for a new console.
I might as well buy a more affordable Gaming computer which cost 648 or more dollars on Amazon :
Game consoles are pricing themselves too high, and might lose sales to Cheaper Gaming PC and other devices which can play games until there is a price drop on game consoles since a lot of people buy game consoles because they can't afford gaming computers, and I think most kids and teens don't have 600 dollars to spend on a console.

Re: Nintendo VS Sony VS Microsoft
PS3 cost 600 dollars when it came out and both MS and sony strive for bigger and badder consoles each time so they will cost more or the same. They can lower the price but I doubt they can handle it.
