Google, Facebook, Twitter, and other tech companies pay a lot of money for programmers, web designers, and other tech jobs, so the tech workers are willing to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars more for rent in the city, so some landlords will raise the rent which cause lowered paid workers like cooks, and waiters to move out because they can no longer afford the high rent which the tech workers can more easily afford.

I agree, tech skills leads to a good paying job because many employers at a tech company will pays you a respectable wage because they can't easily learn how to code a program, setup a computer network, or server in a short amount .

The best way to learn is a 2 year program at a community college, and that is nothing but headaches. And it would be either 2 years to network or 2 years to program.
