the anime is boring because it's the same thing every time, I can even tell what they are going to do in the pokemon battles.

Indeed, manga and anime based on video game battles are not very fun in most cases.

the video game battles really aren't fun either, most likely suspenseful as to weather the attack will hit or not or do double damage.

Fuyumi Soryo, Cardcaptor Sakura and Black Jack are my favourites.
