I agree their lifespan will be shorten by heat, but other problems like power surges, static electricity, rust, and abuse from the user and animals like a dog knocking over a PC could shorten the life before heat breaks a PC. There are users who overclock their PCs' CPU, RAM, and video cards to higher speeds making them hotter, and their PC still is working for many years.

Only thing that would come from a animal is their hair and I don't know how, but it does get into a PC a lot somehow.

Insects like ants, caterpillars, scorpions, spiders, and cockroaches can be a problem if the PC is near bugs because the bugs can die, get electrocuted, and their body, and liquids inside their body may cause the computer to get wet, moldy, and cause problems inside the PC.

cockroaches would be the worst, specially if they leave eggs and you take your PC somewhere to get fixed.

I agree Cockroaches are the worst since they grow, and reproduce very quickly where they can fill an entire home full of cockroaches because of their fast growing, are reproduction cycle.

A Computer Vacuum cleaner is good for cleaning out bugs rather than using canned air which just blow the bugs around which could cause the bugs to escape, and lay more eggs outside the PC...
