I feel in the future more shows and movies would be hosted for free on Bittorrent and other file sharing services. Movie and TV shows need to find other ways to make money like through donations, sponsors, crowdfunding and ads.

One of the good things about Bittorent is that as long as enough users are seeding, the file download speeds are pretty fast. I think there are some Torrents which are stil online for many years because there are a lot of seeders for the video files.

the problem with torrents is seeders and that is something that most companies go after to stop torrents from being used. Its just better to have things on demand with little commercials.

Users who seed foreign films, and anime are unlikely to get in trouble with the law if they seed anime and foreign films which are not available in their home country.

I think users who make subtitles, voice dub, and seed foreign films, and anime is one of the main reasons that Anime, Korean dramas, Jpop, Kpop and Japanese Dramas are popular around the world. I bet, foreign music, and movies would be a lot less popular if no one seeded their shows.

I think the Anime has to be unlicensed in America like Da Capo. Unlicensed anime are usually not available in any store like Bestbuy, and are not on any channels like Cartoon Network, Funimation, etc. But, torrenting Pokemon, Digimon, Beyblades, and Sonic the Hedgehog anime series may get you in trouble because channels like CW, Fox, and Funimation own the license to broadcast shows like Pokemon, Digimon, and Sonic Anime in America.

I can't remember the last time I saw anime being sold in stores that wasn't Naruto or Pokemon. But yeah, I know you can't download anything licensed.

I think Spirited Away was sold in stores back in the past. Most anime in stores are usually Inyusha,Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, Dragonball Z, Pokemon, and other shows which were shown on TV recently.
