I agree, if you just watch a lot of news, weather, local news, and basic tv channels which come with the cheapest plan, cable can be cheaper.

Data/bandwidth overage fees for Cable and DSL internet is still common in some countries, and smaller towns. Data overage fees can get very expensive where you pay $10 for an extra 50GB of data, or you need to pay more for an unlimited plan which sometimes cost over $100 a month.

With cable TV, you can watch TV all day, and don't need to pay more in data overage fees, or subscribe to a more expensive unlimited internet plan, so you can watch streaming videos in 1080P and 4K on Netflix and some YouTube videos if you own a 4K TV, and settop TV box like Nvidia Android TV which is fast enough to stream video in 4K.

very true. My problem is I still watch a few programming blocks which aren't on streaming media, which is keeping me from cutting the cable. Plus cable is more reliable than internet.
