I think most new laptops and all-in-one desktops from Apple and Microsoft are also hard to open up. There are laptops which use glue which make repairing things harder.
If you don't fix your own laptop, the cost of repairs for laptops which are hard to open may cost a lot of money if the repair technician charges a lot of money for harder repairs where he needs to remove glue, and re-glue stuff back together.

glue? I never knew anyone would use glue to hold a PC together. Should anything go wrong it be near impossible to get it open.

I think mostly Apple, and Microsoft laptops, and all-in-one PC use glue. But, other PC made from other brands may use glue as well since glue is cheaper, and it is easier and faster to glue stuff together. PC Companies like Apple earn a lot from computer repairs and new PC sales, so they may use glue to make it harder for people to repair their computers. Making PCs harder to repair will make PC companies more money from repairs, and selling new PCs.
It is also easier and faster to train unskilled factory workers how to use a glue gun or glue paste to glue parts together compared to an electric screw driver which is harder for people to learn how to use, and electric screwdrivers can be expensive compared to glue which is cheaper.

AIO actually use screws and like laptops you have to use like a flat plastic piece to get the hinges to snap out. Not as easy as it sounds.

Same for me. But, Apple probably does not want as many users repairing their own iMac, so they use glue. Glue probably is cheaper as well when you buy a huge tub of glue to glue many iMac AIO at a large iMac Factory.
One of the good things about glue is that there are no screws to lose when working on them, but you need to re-glue the parts together after you cleaned up the old glue on the parts.
