Re: Recommended AV?
On a government level I'm sure it is, but most people can still get to it even with vpn as well.

Re: Recommended AV?
I heard government computers are very locked down, so it won't be possible to install Kaspersky, and users may not be able to visit non-work related websites.
I think Kaspersky retail box version is no longer sold at Bestbuy, and other tech and retail stores.

Indeed they are, I have to make some similar locked down PCs for finical reasons at my work place, you can't use nothing but what is on them, no network connection, no usbs, nothing but the programs pre-configured.

I wonder if the microphone is removed on most secure computers. I read online that there are viruses which can use sound waves to control a computer.

Not sure but might be something for me to look into, but the pcs most likely don't have a camera on them.

Re: Recommended AV?
I heard people can infect their smartphone by scanning a bad QR code which directs them to a malware website.
I wonder in the future, if more viruses will spread through headphone, microphone, and video ports/jacks if the ports/jack all become digital like USB-C, or newer audio and video ports and jacks can also be used to send digital data.

It's why I don't do QR codes, I find them plastered too much.
