Re: Recommended AV?
Most are pretty low end or locked down by the ISP, I doubt most would want to invest so much for that.

I think sharing one computer with multiple users by using thin clients can help save money on storage drives, video cards, CPUs, and paid software licenses like antivirus, office suites, and operating systems, so home users can still save money even after investing more money on better networking gear like routers and wired ethernet cables.

Re: Recommended AV?
That sounds like it cost a lot, most people hate spending $500 on a simple pc besides anything else.

I feel many people buy $300 PCs which sometimes slow down when running a full antivirus scans, and can barely run Windows 10.

Most can run windows 10, not W11 specially with AVs in the background.

Re: Recommended AV?
I think there is a version of Windows 11 called Windows 11 S Mode which may run okay on cheaper PCs. But, I feel a lot of cheap PCs may not run well on Windows 10 when using Microsoft Office programs like MS Access or browsing websites with big pictures, auto-play video and music with Chrome.
There maybe some paid antivirus programs which run better on lowend computers.

Re: Recommended AV?
Didn't realize they did that for W11 as well, that does help keep it locked down and no longer need additional AVs.
