Microsoft have more advance databasr software like MS SQL which may run slightly faster. I think MS Access may have a lot of features like auto-save, and form editors for biginners which may slow down average computers.

I know a few people who had made scripts that can slightly lessen the load, so that might be able to help.

Maybe using a more basic user interface for Access like older versions of MS Office can make Access run faster.

Windows 7 also has a gray classic user interface from Windows 95-2000. The classic user interface ran better on older and slower computers.
Maybe Windows 11 should bring back the classic gray user interface instead of forcing everyone to use the modern startmenu, taskbar, and window styling.

yeah, I worked on a older laptop today and it wasn't handling W10 well at all. W11 needs to be light weight as possible.

Microsoft now make Surface laptops, tablets, and desktops, so MS may want people to keep upgrading their older slower PC to a Surface PC. Making Windows too lightweight may cause fewer users to upgrsde to a MS Surface PC.
