I agree Surface tablets with the keyboard cover which are not good for home use. There are also less powerful Surface tablets like the Surface Go, and Surface tablets with mobile-only Qualcomm CPU which are kind of slow for some usera.
There are some Surface PC which are better for home use like the Surface All-in-one PC, Surfacebook laptop, and 2-in-1 Surface laptop tablet with a real keyboard. But, they are expensive.
I think a Windows 10 desktop tower PC with a 3 GHz CPU, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, would be better for most home users who mainly use MS Office, web browsers, video players, and PC gaming.

true, though I do wish they release the newer OS now, people who are still stuck on W7 rather upgrade to the future one than W10 that might be discontinued in a few years.

I think a lot of people who bought Windows 8.1 PC were dissappointed when Windows 10 was released even if Windows 10 was a free upgrade.
I think a lot of Windows 7 users won't upgrade to a new PC until Windows 11 is released, or Microsoft gaurantee that they will support Windows 10 for many more years.

sadly most consumers think that their machines will straight up stop working with 7, even though they will still run just fine without the daily updates, which I'm not sure even updates are still being rolled out for W7. The main issue is software like chrome, mcafee and others would stop support.

I think some free software like Slimjet web browser, and lesser known Antivirus may still support Windows 7 for a few more years.

never heard of slimjet. But I'm sure some people will keep Windows 7 supported.froggyboy604 wrote:I think some free software like Slimjet web browser, and lesser known Antivirus may still support Windows 7 for a few more years.
