things had to be basic back then, but these days 4k is no issue.

I think video cards back in the past only had a few MB of RAM, and the video processor was very slow, so most programs had very little graphics.

They were strong, but nowhere near as strong as current modern day ones, lets AVs run easier.

I read an online article that Intel now lets Antivirus software use the onboard video chip to speed up antivirus scans.

I wonder how much faster the antivirus scans are when you also use the GPU.

if they use all the system resources I do believe they can be run much faster. Good for a file heavy PC.
