The general public doesn't know about the bios and I've seen people with custom builds who don't know about it either, sad.

I think most people don't keep their PC long enough where they need to change a BIOS setting like when you need to tell to boot your computer to your newly installed SSD instead of the slower hard drive also installed on the same motherboard, or replace the battery on the motherboard.

It is sad that people that people with custom PC not know much about the BIOS.

Just shows we need more computer management classes for kids to take in school to know that stuff.

I think some schools may not have enough money to hire extra teachers and buy equiptment to teach computer related courses about the BIOS, motherboards. I heard the Raspberry Pi mini computer is now more powerful, so it maybe good enough to teach many computer related tasks.

All PCs have it, just a matter of having a few unlocked PCs in tech class to show it. Though I'm sure most wouldn't want to deal with it.

I feel some schools may not want to deal with some students stealing tools like screw drivers, and computers to sell or to break them for fun. I think some schools require students to buy their own Chromebooks or Windows laptops for classwork.

I imagine using a emulator or simulator to teach people about how to use the BIOS and CMOS maybe possible as well, so people can learn about the BIOS and CMOS user interface without booting into the BIOS and CMOS setup program.

I can see some run down places where schools are at might have their stuff stolen, specially tech that would be sold for parts.
