Maybe Microsoft did not hire enough beta testers who may of prevented Vista from being released with slow performance.

I think MS can ask people to watch a video of someone using Vista for a few minutes on an average computer with 512mb of RAM and Intel Celeron CPU, and ask them to fill out a survey to see if they like what they see.

I wonder if most people use a Vista computer at a tech store for a few minutes before buying it.

Wasn't much options back then for demos, it was vista or nothing.
