I think using regular/standard accounts may prevent some viruses from infecting a PC if the person can't hack or find the administer account on a PC.

Using a non-admin account is always a safe way, annoying as it would be.

Using an administer account on an operating system installed on a virtual machine maybe less annoying if your computer is faster, and users' are less likely to infect the OS which came with their computer or server.

Would be nice if VMs were more used for protection, but most wouldn't get the point of it.
