I agree there are not many Chrome OS, and Android games and apps which need a more powerful CPU and more RAM. I think more CPU demanding Chrome and Android games and software from Google Play will get many bad reviews from many users who experience slowdown problems with CPU intensive games and apps on the many slower $200 to $300 Chromebooks with an Intel Celeron or mobile CPU which cant handle more demanding games.

I think most newer Chromebooks can play Playstation 2 quality games like Grand Theft Auto 3 since many Android smartphones and consoles like the Ouya with slower mobile CPUs can play GTA 3.

I find it hard to believe they can play PS2 games, but maybe with some lag?

Newer Chromebooks with 4GB RAM, Intel Celerons made more recently has a speed of 2GHz, 4 CPU cores, Intel HD onboard graphics chip may run Playstation 2 games which got ported to Android, and also is compatible with Google Play found on newer Chromebooks.

I think most Playstation 2 games were made for non-HD TVs like tube tvs, so the games do not need a very powerful PC or smartphone to run most PS2 games.

Then yeah I guess they can run them, guess you could always swap out the storage for a faster experience.

Using a laptop cooling fan pad may also keep the video frame rates at a playable framerate like 30 frames per seconds for games played on Chromebooks and similar laptops and tablets. I think most CPU will automatically slow down when the CPU gets hot.

I seen some gaming smartphones now come with a cooling fan case to make gaming on a phone less hot.

If you need a fan for your phone, then its not really worth it. Because I do know a phone does get really hot while gaming.

I think the fan can be useful for cooling your hands when holding a warm phone.Sometimes the phine can get pretty hot when web browsing on big websites and installing big apps and games.
