I feel using GPU for file scanning may also make multi-tasking better since the antivirus is not using all the CPU power during virus scans, so software like web browsers have enough CPU processing power during virus scans.

I know whenever AVs run, other things can become really slow.

I think there are antivirus which can run before Windows start-up, so the scan runs faster because there are not other programs slowing it down.
Antivirus scans can be very slow on slower cheap laptops.

I think the bios does have one, but thankfully don't take to run.

Windows 11 is supposed to have high level security, so I'm sure it will.

Hopefully, Windows 11 high level of security won't make PCs run very slow.
