We probably need to wait many years for a faster type of usb port.

There used to be computers with external E-sata ports which
maybe faster than USB C because drives are directly connected to a PCI card or the motherboatd.

That would be nice, but motherboards are being made smaller, so might be hard to put in more ports on it.

I feel a lot of people may still want motherboards with a lot of ports because they may need to install a lot of hard drives and SSDs on their desktop PC because the size of video files, PC games and software keep filling up their storage drives, so they may need to install more storage drives on their PC.

I'd kill for a pc with more ports, but they slim down what they offer and make people buy more addons to get more spaces.

It is too bad that tech companies dont sell more PCs and motherboards with more ports which may not use up a lot of space on modern desktop PCs.
