I think hardware companies may eventually need to make higher quality parts to attract some buyers who may care more about how long their computer parts last instead of buying cheaply made parts which are more likely to break from static electricity, overheating and being dropped on a floor.

Usually new companies make good parts, but as they get bigger, they focus more on profits, leading to lesser materials.

Sometimes big companies like Motorola get sold to other big companies which may care more about profits instead of durability and reliability, and adding features like a durable protective case which users want.

It's always sad to see a good company sold to another and their quality so badly drops.

It is sad that companies like eMachine got shutdown by big companies like Acer who owns eMachine because they don't want to invest the time and money into improving the hardware and software for the brand. I personally feel the eMachine brand name is one of the more catchy tech brands.

I forgot about emachines, it was my first PC and it held up pretty good. Sadly it ran Vista but still did good.

I wonder if eMachine will make a comeback because of people who like retro tech.
