I wouldn't mind faster repairs, some dell laptops you have to remove everything including cpu/thermal paste to replace a keyboard.

Some are and some aren't, though everything can't be made to last sadly.

I heard old IBM keyboards from many years ago can last many years.
I think a keyboard without many movable parts like a touch keyboard may last longer. I don't hear many stories of touchpads and touchscreens breaking from regular use.

So long as nothing was spilled on them lol but I have seen them and they are really nice keyboards.

I feel putting a clear plastic roof over a desktop keyboard may reduce most liquid spill damage to a keyboard.
Some of the early Microsoft branded keyboards also look durable, and nice.

I have seen those plastic covers at dentist offices, they seem helpful but make typing harder.
