How Ad Rank is calculated??

I think a website's server calculate Ad rank on websites, and search engines. But, I'm not sure how a server calculate how an ad ranks. I also think most ad websites keep ad ranking a secret to prevent people from cheating at making their ads show up more often.

If I remember back during the days I attempted SEO, no one really knows how google or anyone else goes about calculating it. Many people have many different theories to the point they could be all right or all wrong.

Ad Rank is calculated using your bid amount, your auction-time ad quality (including expected clickthrough rate, ad relevance, and landing page experience), the Ad Rank thresholds, the competitiveness of an auction,the context of the person’s search (for example, the person’s location, device, time of search, the nature of the search terms, the other ads and search results that show on the page, and other user signals and attributes), and the expected impact of extensions and other ad formats.
