How long do you feel it should be before a person replaces their mobile phone?

I think if the cell phone is good enough for their needs, and the phone still works, they should keep using their phone. I still see people using old flip cell phones.

But, if you use a smartphone, it is a good idea to replace a smartphone if the operating system has unfixable security problems, and newer more secure custom roms don't work on their old smartphone.

I just about have my phone about 4 years now, works good but I rather have something smaller since the note 4 is a bit bigger than I want.
