Not really on the warranties, all of them come with limited one year warranties, anything wear and tear by the user and you are out of luck.

That is unfortunate. I heard sometimes you need to mail in the warranty card, or the warranty will not be honored.

even then, its still limited and I hear the turn around time for fixing the machines can be up to a month.

1 month is kind of long. I think most people who only own one computer will hire a computer repair technician instead of waiting many months for a repair.

that will require money though, unlike the manufacture who may fix it for free.

If you use your computer for college, or work, paying money can be worth it. Most schools and jobs require you to use a computer to do work,
so if you don't have any other computer to use, you can't do anything.

You may end up using more money on gas driving to a public library, and using their public computers compared to spending $200 or less to replace RAM, hard drive, or motherboard.

Which is why these business made PCs are a good deal, high quality for a cheap price.
