Root your phone?

Anyone here ever go through the fun of rooting your device to gain full control of it?

I plan on rooting my old tablet and phones to get rid of apps, and features which I never use.

I've rooted my last two phones, a very interesting process on how it happens. Though it seems to be getting harder to do.
