Non-removable batteries are annoying to own especially on handheld game consoles where you maybe owning the same handheld console for many years after the game console got discontinued.

They can be annoying, instead of paying and simply swamping it out, you have to pay someone to put in a new one.

Sometimes the replacement battery maybe hard to find unlike AA and AAA batteries which are available at most stores including grocery and department stores.

As long as its not too old, its easy to find. Just sad most phones are going this way.

It maybe harder to find batteries for less popular devices made by smaller brands. I agree, it is too bad that phones don't have easily replaceable batteries. I hope batteries will not be attached to the circuit board with lead solder like how a phone's RAM, and CPU on phones are attached to the circuit board with lead solder, so you need to use a very hot heatgun to melt off the lead solder for replacing batteries.

I know they made them non-removable because they were a popular method in rooting a phone by quickly killing power.
