Does anyone know anything about a "UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY" also called a UPS those power bars that also have a battery, so if there's a power outage there still be power for running the computer of the UPS battery.

Plus could anyone recommend any good companies.

I heard APC is a good UPS brand, but i never used anything from apc.

How big of a ups do i need. my comp is 3-4 years old that doesnt have much power hungry stuff,: 256mb sd DDR ram, amd 1700+ cpu, 1 HD, cdrw, onboard video, 5-fans. 300w Power supply so i guest it doesnt use much power compared most newer comps made in the last year. I want the UPS to run my comp, 17" crt monitor, and external HD for atleast 10-30 minutes during a power outage.

In simple terms, it's basicly a power bar with a battery in it, so if your house's power goes out from lightning or a power outage" the battery will supply power to the comp, so you have enough time to save your work and shutdown properly if you have a UPS with a huge battery you can run your computer for more time.

I guest i get one made by APC since their batteries are easy to find at stores when they need to be replaced and their warranty is pretty good.
