Civilization game causes Iain Banks missed book deadline

British sci-fi author Iain Banks has confessed that his next book, Matter, will be delayed because of his crippling Civilization gaming addiction.
He played the game for three months straight without getting any work done.
Banks eventually deleted all the saved files and smash the game CD.

Iain should find a different hobbies that doesn't involve siting in front of the computer for 3 month straight without getting any work done, or use a better excuse for not finishing his book on time like " I lack the will power to finish my book on time, so i played computer games instead. "
