The highest Math class i took was Pre-calculus. It's similar to Math 12, but it just teaches stuff from math 12 at a faster pace and basic math "algebra, logs, graphing, exponents, trigonometry, and trigonometric identities." Students should know before taking Calculus 1.

I never really use a graphing calculator unless the teacher supplied me with one to use for any of the math classes i took in the past. I got decent marks. I seem to figure out most math problems with a basic inexpensive scientific calculator and doing stuff on a piece of paper or in my head, sometimes.

Im not sure if a graphing calculator with help me in calculus 1 and 2 cuz in the past when the Teacher teach the class how to use the graphing calculators. I just get totally confuse.

I guest i ask the teacher when i get back to school.

^My teacher didnt let the class used a graphing calc for "mid-terms, and the final exam" but, we could use them for quizes. If we used it for a Test it be consider cheating cuz we didnt show the work, so marks will be deducted.

Ya i heard that the ti-83 plus is use mostly for Statistics, and classes with some graphing like physics and chemistry. I probably get a graphing calc since their on sale now or a used one.

Actually in Calc. they teach students how to use Maple 10 math software in some schools in a computer lab.
