Hopefully a better cooling system, my PS4 sounds like a jet taking off at times.

I feel a thicker plastic PS5 case may make the PS5 less loud. I think there are also rubber/plastic fan screws which help stop the fan from vibrating the case, so it would be not as loud. Some desktop computers also have rubber feet which can help at making the PC not as loud from vibrations from the fans, disc drive and hard drive.

I think thinner would help, just to keep it cool and keep the fan from running.

Thinner maybe less durable. I think the CPU is mostly cooled by a fan and metal heatsink. I ran PC without a case door, and temperatures on the CPU are about the same or not much lower than with a door on the case.

Odd, you would think without having one would lead to cooler temps.

I was a new desktop PC owner, and thought not having a door would lead to cooler temperatures sort of like how some people drive cars and motorcycles with a lot of cooling vents and holes.

That reminds me when my first pc broke down, which the fan gave out which I set it outside (the outside door was close enough) during a cold winter and it still wasn't enough.
