No I do not have an external USB SSD drive because are too expensive.

I don't have one either and I doubt I ever will unless I need it to run software or games that need the quick transfer speeds.

I guess USB external SSD maybe useful for laptops and Windows tablets where carrying a heavier external hard drive is not as portable, and more likely to get damaged if you drop the hard drive. External SSD may also be cheaper than 1TB SD cards which can cost a lot of money.

external HDDs aren't really that heavy these days which is nice.

I agree external hard drives are not heavy. But, I think some of the external hard drives with external power supplies can be heavy unless the power supply is small.

I think more external hard drives will use a portable USB-C charger to power it, or use power from a USB-C/USB 3.1 port, so users don't need to carry around a large power supply brick.
