What kind of router do you use and settings for it?

I use the router which came with my ISP and its default settings.

I think it is bundled with the cost of internet service. It is one of those Internet modem and router combos.

that's just a way to get you stuck paying rental fees, if you buy your own equipment then you end up saving a ton.

I'm not sure if it is possible to buy my own modem because the modem is made by a less popular brand, and the ISP does not seem to sell modems to users.

I doubt they require a certain brand so long as it meets the spec requirements. like a DOCSIS 3.0
