Do you recommend a SSD?
Do you always recommend people to get or upgrade to a SSD for storage/speed?

Re: Do you recommend a SSD?
I recommend SSD for people who are willing to spend more money on a faster drive with less storage than a similar price hard drive.
I think if the person does not want to spend more money on 1TB of storage, they will not want to spend more money on a 1TB SSD, and are happy with a hard drive.
Users who only use their computer for web browsing, watching standard quality video, office work and doing other simpler tasks may not feel the faster speed of a SSD is worth it.
Some modern hard drives spin faster and have more cache memory like 64 MB, so they are not as slow thesedays.

Not as slow, but the better HDDs can still not hold up against a SSD. Which thankfully you can get some 1 TB SSD for about $150 or less.

looks like a 2 tb ssd though still cost pretty high, which hopefully that cheapens by the time I need to get a PS5.

Hopefully, there won't be a SSD shortage because of the Coronavirus. A SSD shortage may cause all SSD to be more expensive.

hopefully not, specially when they were finally coming down in price.
