I've seen a few of those, I agree to repair or upgrade them would be too much of a pain. Apple doesn't make things easy.

I think the only Apple computer which is easier to upgrade is the Apple Mac Mini. But, the Mac Mini is expensuve compared to other mini PCs.

Must be so expensive due to small parts, a bad part of upgrading.

I think some Mac Mini use smaller laptop parts like Laptop style RAM which are more expensive.

I have seen some small ram which are too costly to use for upgrade.

I think not many companies make smaller RAM module/sticks, so the few companies can sell them for higher prices, and still have buyers.
The government also is less likely to investigate small size RAM makers to see if they are ripping buyers off.

Lots of ways they been ripping people off, like changing how the end plugs so they can't be reused or easily transferred.
