I feel an i5 in a tower PC would be a nice upgrade from a slower CPU like Pentium found in a laptop/tablet. I tgink a lot of laptop/tablet CPU are designed to run slower to save battery life and prevent iverheating.

I do try and push i5 on most people, but I've learned that Best Buy oversells people on i7s when all they need is a i3 or weaker.

Buying a PC with a better video card can make an i5 PC better for gaming and watching 4K videos.

indeed, a lot of graphics cards are starting to carry one or more display ports on them. Won't be long till that replaces HDMI.

Many nicer video cards these days have 2 or more video ports which is useful for having 2 or more 4K monitors hook up to a PC.

I seen some Desktop Tower PC with many monitors, and they look good for playing simulator games, office work where you need to copy and paste a lit of text, and web browsing many websites at once.

I know a lot of people had to upgrade their PCs to handle working from home, as many needed two monitors but their current setups couldn't handle it.

I kbow there are USB to VGA video cards which let you attach more monitors to a PC, but they msybe kind of slow. I also seen USB 2.0 monitors. I think LG made a USB-C monitor for Apple Mac computers with USB-C ports,
