I've used them before, they seem kind of flimsy to use.

I heard wearing rubber shoes can help with reducing static as well.

there are shoes that can help, though its best to be on hard floors.

I think there are also anti-static tables and workbenches which help with preventing static shock.

pretty sure the table has to be made of a hard material and shouldn't conduct static. Though you can't be too safe.

I think the table may come with a built-in antistatic pad on the table and other static protection tech. Some servers, gaming PCs, and a few smartphones/tablets can cost thousands of dollars, so tech factories will use an antistatic table to use when building a PC.

Some very fast computers, large storage size SDD, 3D printers, antique/classic game consoles and electronics, and computers are worth many thousands of dollars, so an anti-static table can be worth the price to protect your expensive tech.

it does help most stuff come with a strong metal frame that you can use to ground yourself.
