Hard to say, but I wonder if there will be anything that replaces blu-rays.

There are now Bluray disc which can hold 128GB of data, so I I feel it will take a few more years before movies and video games need a new type of disc to record movies and games to.

I read a tech article that Sony invented a 3.3 TB Bluray optical disc, but I'm not sure if regular users can buy a 3.3 TB disc at a computer store.
I feel disc companies may release bigger size Blu-ray disc when the size of movies, games, and files have bigger file size because of 4K to 8K video resolution, and longer games and movie and tv series which are 24+ hours in length.

yeah that won't go for sale at a store, some online places are asking $120 for it.

$120 is a lot of money for a disc.
I feel some companies like movie studios are willing to pay $120 for a 3.3 TB disc since they can store a lot of 4K movies, music files, and PC games based on the movie on one disc

Games will need them in the coming years though, some games are nearing that 1 TB threshold.
