Last I saw, DVD packs were being discontinued at local stores.

Burnable DVD-R seem not as common at Department stores, but I do still see them on sale at computer stores, dollar stores, and office supply stores.

DVD-R packs are cheaper at websites like Amazon, eBay, etc. I feel most people buy DVD-R online where a 4.7GB DVD-R pack of 100 disc cost about $20.

Honestly kind of glad they are going away, never understood all the different kinds of dvd packs, R+, R-.

I think Blu-ray BD-R burnable disc are starting to be more popular with disc users instead of DVD-/+R because Blu-Ray BD-R single layer disc have 25GB of storage disc space, and faster data read and write times.

I haven't even seen blu-ray discs in stores to be burn on, figured everything was on usb.

I think most people now buy things like Blu-ray burnable disc from websites like Amazon. I seen BD-R disc at some stores which sell burnable disc.

I think disc may still sometimes be used to share many files with users with slow internet, and slow usb 1.1 ports.

Not even sure why people need discs, usbs seem a lot better.
