pretty sure most images are too big for a floppy these days, the bigger and nicer they are made for good monitors, the more of a size they have.

Webp, gif, and jpeg may fit a few files on a floppy.

Gif is also used to store non-animated images with a few basic colors like blue, red, green, etc.

Low resolution animated gif with simple animations and a short playing length may fit on a floppy. I think most simple animated gif have small file size.

I think Animated Gif can have a smaller file size than video because there is no audio on most animated gif.

Gif looks better than Jpeg with a lot of compression when storing images with basic colors like red, blue, green, etc.

no matter how good it looks, it still takes a decent screen to display it all. Sometimes a subpar screen won't show all the correct colors.
