It would be useful if Antivirus makers use cell phone text message and Instant messaging apps to remind people to renew their AV subscription.

Not everyone uses a cell phone and most old people don't like texts, who are a main AV buyer.

I heard there are apps and websites made for smartphones, tablets and PC computers which let users receive text messages like a cell phone.
I think Skype can receive text messages, but you need to buy a Skype number.

Skype is kind of going out the window these days, it's mostly zoom and MS teams.

It is too bad Skype is not as popular these days, but I feel a lot of old people may still use it.

I also see Zoom talked about more in the news these days.
