I read a blog post that North Korea made a custom version of Linux for its citizens.

According to Wikipedia, North Korea's Linux OS is now on version 4.0, and it is inspired by Fedora Linux. I'm surprise that there are 4 releases of their OS.

Everyone believes in upgrades, though not surprised it's based on another.

I wonder if most of the upgrades are small updates like better looking wallpapers and better sound effects.

North Korea maybe using disc like CD-R, 1GB USB flash drives or tape drives for installing offline upgrades like how many people used to install Windows 98 upgrades from a Windows installer disc.
