I feel some people maybe more careful with their laptops when the cost of repairs, and buying a new laptop cost more because of inflation. It is also more expensive to borrow money to buy a laptop because of rising interest borrowing rates and stricter credit score checks to get a credit card with no monthly fees and lower interest rates.

Some tend to be, I've seen lots of people spend extra on tough gear to keep stuff from breaking.

There are some affordable tougher water resistant laptops and Chromebooks made for students, but they are slower and thicker.

It is probably not very hard to buy or make a waterproof or water resistant case for some slower cooler running computers like the Raspberry Pi and Intel Celeron or Atom mini PCs which probably can be cooled by a case with a thicker metal case which absorb most of the heat, and moves the heat away from the computer chips and circuit boards.

It is hard sometimes, there are so many different makes and models, some just don't fit with a special model pc.

I feel there maybe fewer laptop models in the future because more people now buy tablets with keyboards.

Unless they change, tablets aren't very good, they easily overheat on something like Office 365.

I feel tablets overheat because tablet makers try to save money by using cheaper cooling fans and heatsinks which may cost a few dollars less than decent cooling products.
