I forgot that it was possible to use eBay and Amazon buy more basic cell phones.

I haven't seen a very basic cell phone being sold at an offline store in years.

Websites like eBay, and Amazon still sell very basic cell phones which can only make voice calls, or voice calls and text. I think most of them only have a simple LCD screen for seeing the phone number and text messages.

Are bigger size basic cell phones more affordable compared to less basic $40 flip phones with Wi-Fi, rear camera, speakerphone, Bluetooth, MicroSD card reader, and video recording features?

I think they are roughly the same size, since it is old technology.

I think the battery is larger on some new basic flip phones because batteries are not as expensive these days, and it maybe harder for cell phone makers to find enough small sized cell phone batteries to build many basic flip phones.

Most use small rechargeable batteries, which is rather nice.

I agree it is nice that basic cell phones use small batterys because people can carry around a extra charged batteries to replacce their dead battery when they are away from a power outlet, or don't have time to charge a battery.

I think replacing the battery with a charged battery maybe safer than plugging a cell phone into a random external USB power bank which nay have a hidden usb fash drives which contains malware.
