I wonder if some AV gives rewards to people who report viruses to them.

I know some companies do pay, but I don't think they all do which is a shame.

Maybe some AV companies give free subscriptions of antivirus for a few years or for life.

I doubt it, takes a lot of money to manage, protect and update a database daily if not hourly.

I wonder how much money or donation money Firefox spend on preventing viruses and malware from infecting their web browser. I feel a large part of their workers and money is spent on security.

Most likely a lot like other places but would be nice if Windows was just as good as Mac OS.

I think Mac OS is based on UNIX which is similar to Linux, so Mac OS may add UNIX security features to its OS.

I feel if most people mainly use their computer to use non-Windows Exclusive programs like OpenOffice with a Linux version of the program, Microsoft may release a custom version of Linux which is easier to install programs, and have the latest security features found in Linux.
