I've noticed it on bit defender, but malwarebytes acts quicker.

There are third-party DNS servers which also block malware. Quad9 DNS claims to block malware DNS names. Virustotal also has a link scanner to scan website links which you feel maybe infected.

I think Google DNS may remove some bad DNS servers from its DNS name server since Google owns Virustotal, so they can block malware DNS from infecting computers. Google Chrome does have a built-in virus scanner and malware link blocker to protect computers from malware.

Didn't realize it had that built in, I wonder if Firefox and others do as well?

Firefox has Phishing and Malware Protection built-in, and Microsoft Edge uses Smartscreen reputation link and app scanner to prevent people from visiting infected websites. I think Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera uses Google's link scanner because Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera are based on Chromium which is similar to Chrome.

Seems like most things are based off of Chromium these days, I wonder if firefox will adapt it one day?
